In this photo you can see how both products have been used to fill lines, creases and put back lost lip volume.
When would I choose Cosmoderm and Cosmoplast over other fillers?
Because both these products are collagens, they don't absorb water from the tissue surrounding the filler. Since they have the least incidence of swelling, they are referred to as "camera ready". Typically any minimal swelling is gone in a few hours and at most less than 24 hours.
If you want the very least "side-effect" from a filler injection, then Cosmoderm or Cosmoplast may be your best choice. In addition, collagens work well in creating a soft natural lip border. Dr. Cobos will help you in deciding which filler will work best for you and your needs.
Can I use Botox® Cosmetic and CosmoDerm and CosmoPlast together?
Yes. There are no restrictions in using both and the combined results of these, and fillers such as the recently-released hyaluronic acid filler Juvederm, are very satisfying.
Smoker's lines (the vertical lines above and sometimes below the lip) are have always been difficult to treat because the constant muscle movement in that area causes fillers to break down and dissipate more quickly. By using a tiny touch of Botox alongside the Cosmoderm injections you can slow the progression of the lines as well as increase the duration of the filler. In addition, Dr. Cobos often uses the Candela Smooth Peel Erbium laser to soften the stubborn lines.
Other fillers to learn about :
Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm, hyaluronic acid fillers for wrinkles and lines; Radiesse, an injectable implant for the deep nasolabial folds; and Sculptra, an injectable collagen-spurring material for volume correction and lost volume replacement.
