Skin Tightening Instead of a Surgical Face Lift

Skin Tightening without plastic surgery? You've probably heard of the "non surgical facelift." Today, noninvasive Skin Tightening is a reality with the use of Lasers. Firmer Tighter Skin with Minimal Discomfort

The GentleYAG "tightens" by heating the underlying layers in the skin and forming new collagen resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin. The GentleYAG's patented epidermal cooling system, the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD(TM)), protects the skin surface with every laser pulse allowing for quick results and patient comfort. Only the skin beneath the surface is affected by the laser. The final result is firmer skin, more defined facial contours and a more youthful appearance.

Unlike Thermage, which uses radio frequency and typically requires narcotic pain medication, the GentleYag can be used with no medication at all. Discomfort levels are compared to that of a rubber band snapped against the skin.

How GentleYag Tightens Skin

Surface and topical products cannot induce collagen formation for true tightening of sagging or drooping skin as laser treatments can. Laser treatments result in skin tightening when subsurface heat is created in the collagen-rich dermal layer.

Once the collagen in the skin is heated to a temperature above 60 degrees centigrade, it will contract and tighten. Aging collagen strands are looser and more sparse than "young" collagen. Your GentleYag treatment causes an immediate tightening as well as improved tone and texture. New collagen growth will continue for four to six months post treatment.

With Laser Skin Tightening, a series of 4 to 6 treatments approximately a month apart are recommended for optimum results. Maximum results are seen about 90 days after the last treatment.
